Torrington High School Class of 1987!

30 long years! It is FAR time to come together, once again, in joyful celebration of our alma mater (Go Trailblazers!) and the many fine THS graduates of 1987! 

We have many fun activities in the works, and we look forward to joining you all for a great "Old-School" reunion!

Reunion Events:

Friday 7/21

6:00 - 8:00 PM
- Class of 87 Main Street Cruise

  • Meet classmates and friends at the Torrington Public Parking lot  (East 21st & East A Street - behind Wyoming Theater and Vandel Drug "Where the cop station used to be" per my dad)
  • Decorate your vehicle, pick up your "Class of 1987" banners and/or pom-poms (and optional bottle of Boonesfarm wine) , and hit the streets to show that old-school THS spirit!  
  • $3.00 suggested donation

Reunion Primer - Local Pub Crawl
  • Meet classmates and friends for smiles and cocktails
  • 8:30 at the Broncho Bar  (1798 Main Street)
Saturday 7/22

10:30AM - 12:30PM
Alumni, Family, & Friends Potluck
  • Pioneer Park - West 15th Ave & West E St
  • Please bring a dish to share according to the first letter of your last name as follows:  
 A-J      Main Dish (e.g., chicken, barbeque, casserole, sandwiches)
 K-R      Side Dish (e.g., vegetable, beans, macaroni salad, potato salad)
 S-Z      Dessert

  • bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs  
  • Beverages (lemonade, water, & coffee), plastic utensils, and plates will be provided 
  • Bring along any sports equipment that you may have for the enjoyment of all.
  • $4.00 suggested donation (paper products, beverages, etc)
Saturday afternoon activities:

1:00 to 3:00 or 2:00 to 4:00 (TBA)
1980's Flashback movie - Wyoming II Theater
  • Time TBA by theater (likely around 2:00ish)
  • Re-visit a landmark!- the Wyoming II Theatre
  • great family option!
  • take in an 80s classic such as ET, The Princess Bride, Back To the Future, Lost Boys, or Breakfast Club 
  • Must have at least 50 movie-goers (take your whole family!) to secure the theater and movie screening 
  • Tickets are $7.50 per person
  • Assuming we have enough interest to make this event happen, ticketed moviegoers will be notified as to exact show time and available movie title
  • open to local public
Carpool Caravan to Springer Lake
  • Party at Springer, Guys!
  • adults only please with organized carpool caravan
  • Meet in public parking lot (same as cruise meeting place) to carpool with classmates/friends to the lake
  • Bring your floatie/water toys, sunscreen, & BYOB

  • All alumni, guests, & friends invited!  
  • Heavy Hors d'oeuvres, drinks, Photo Booth, Flashback Trivia, Games!   FUN FUN!
  • 1980s music/karaoke, and dancing - Music provided by DJ Jeff Koza
  • Semi-formal or 80s duds encouraged, or come as you are!  We'll all be glad to see ya, either way!
  • Lower-income classmate scholarships may be available for this event, based on donations.  Please contact Shelley Jo Isaak or indicate a scholarship request on your registration.  We want to see as many classmates as possible at the reunion!

Our budget to pull off this reunion is exactly $0.00 (yep, ZERO), so any donations are greatly appreciated.  

Our goal is to make attending the reunion as affordable as possible.  Donated funds will be used only to defray cost of reunion supplies & services.  

Afterwards, all proceeds will be used for lower-income classmate scholarships to the Alumni Mixer, with any additional funds donated toward a future Class of 1987 reunion.

Thanks in advance for helping defray reunion expenses and get as many classmates as possible to our fun (and thrifty) Class of 1987 30-Year reunion!

Join classmates, teachers, family, & friends at the Cottonwood Country Club for a fun evening of hors d'oeuvres, drinks, memories, new/old friends, games, prizes, an 80s photo booth, great (and not-so-great) 80s' music, and a good time visiting with the class of 1987--30 years later!
After 8:00, we will have a DJ spinning your favorite hits of the 1980s, plus a karaoke mic for the songbirds!
Price for this event includes appetizers, a beverage, cake, and an evening of great entertainment! Open bar available.
